As a licensed Portfolio Manager with RBC Dominion Securities, Stu draws on over 30 years of experience in the investment industry. His in-depth planning approach and discretionary investment management provide his clients with comprehensive solutions to help them meet their unique goals and objectives.
Managing one of the largest asset bases in Canada for RBC Dominion Securities, he takes a meticulous financial planning approach with each client. This process involves uncovering and addressing current and future goals and objectives before developing the proper investment plan. His knowledge and experience provide his clients with a consistent, disciplined approach to managing money.
Stu was born and raised in Vancouver. He attended Michigan Tech on an athletic scholarship and graduated with Honors in Business Administration. Stu began his career as an Investment Advisor in 1981 with Pemberton Securities, which was subsequently acquired by RBC Dominion Securities in 1989. He has attained securities registrations in the U.S. and Canada.
As part of the RBC Dominion Securities group, Stu is supported by an extensive team of experts, including a regional insurance consultant and specialists in Will and estate planning and tax planning.
In his spare time, Stu enjoys playing hockey and fitness in addition to his long-time hobby of aviation, where he competes in aerobatics.
Senior Associate Advisor
Jenn joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2007. She has 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry and holds the Financial Management Advisor designation. Jenn obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from British Columbia Institute of Technology. She has also successfully completed the Canadian Securities Options Licensing Course. Jenn helps service the needs of clients and their families and focuses on client communications, marketing, and research.
When it comes to client experience, Jenn conducts herself with the utmost professionalism and integrity. In 2014, Jenn received RBC's highest award of distinction, the RBC Leo Award. Approximately 0.1% of all RBC employees receive this coveted award each year.
Nichola joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2003 and brings with her more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry. Through several positions with RBC, Nichola has twice been awarded the top RBC performance award in her field. Nichola has a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University, as well as the Chartered Investment Manager designation.
Born and raised in North Vancouver, Nichola has lived and worked in Lake Louise, Alberta as well as Osaka, Japan, but finds herself happiest living in the Lower Mainland. Nichola and her husband Craig have two sons named Ronan and Arran. As a family, they enjoy cooking, biking, and traveling to foreign countries.
Associate
Sera joined the team in 2022 shortly after graduating with an Accounting Diploma from BCIT. She has a keen interest in the wealth management industry, and specifically in the technical aspects of investment management. As an Associate, Sera is responsible for aligning your investment goals with seamless trading execution and holistic portfolio management.
Outside of work, Sera enjoys cooking and hiking the local trails.
Margie has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, having worked in Singapore, the Philippines, and Canada. In her current role, she is responsible for administrative duties, including documentation, scheduling meetings, client onboarding, and helping colleagues and clients in any way she can.
Her past roles focused primarily on inter-dealer brokerage, where she handled significant government bond transactions for financial institutions. Margie’s commitment to ensuring client satisfaction was reflected in her consistent track record of meeting and exceeding these institutions' needs. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree from De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines.
When not at the office, Margie enjoys spending time with her family.
